California-based photographer Gray Malin uses “sheep” as the protagonist in his recent works. What’s special is that these sheep are not the sheep wearing white or black fur as we think, but they are colorful like the rainbow!
The inspiration came from a previous Scottish farmer who dyed his own sheep. In order to present the dreamy colorful sheep, the photographer went to Australia and worked with local rural sheep farmers. Each sheep was treated with non-toxic and easy-to-clean plant-based dyes and dressed in colorful coats.
I love their disdainful hanging eyes, and their handsomeness that makes it easy to be one’s own person! (Sheep: Hey~ Well, we are born like this...)
Actually, I don’t like sheep very much. I don’t know why I always feel that they are cunning and have some bad intentions. (Yangqun: Big sister, let me say it again, we are born to look like this!) However, after seeing the appearance of sheep and sheep revealed by photographers or artists from another angle one after another, I thought, I am a sheep. I’m a fan! 咩~咩咩~~
As I grow older, my love for animals gradually increases. I remember when I was still used to watching TV, for a long time when I turned on the TV, it would always be locked on the Animal Planet channel. In addition to appreciating the primitive beauty of all things, from the fast and slow life processes of animals and plants, I also feel the greatness and power of existence in nature. Compared with them, we humans are really insignificant, and no matter when facing life or My attitude and vision in all aspects seem much narrower. In the rest of my life, I think I will continue to grow and thrive with this spiritual mentor who has an extremely broad and tolerant mind.
The joys, sorrows and joys of the wild primitive world are on full display, irrigated by the rushing vitality. In addition to lamenting the sacred appearance and lifestyle given to them by the creator, their mood seems to have been healed inadvertently.
The video shows the behind-the-scenes process of the photographer shooting the sheep. It’s really like chasing the sheep. Hahahaha, it’s so fun~~
This series of dreamy colorful sheep photos are now available for purchase on the designer’s official website Gray Malin, and 20% of the proceeds will be donated to the Make A Wish foundation.
After seeing these colorful sheep, what color is your mood now? (Raise your hand) I say, I say! My mood is like a sweet sugar coating, and I can taste the full taste of happiness~ p>
