In our daily lives, the lighthouse is really not a landmark that has any connection, let alone any origin. But in the past, land routes relied on horses, and water routes relied on boats. When people from the ocean returned home, they would still not mistake the direction of their return home even in the dark. All this relied on lighthouses - a symbol of safety and direction. Before electricity was widely available, flames were lit on top of mountains as lighting and direction guidance, and later evolved into lighthouses.
As modern navigation equipment has become very advanced, the number of human-operated lighthouses has been greatly reduced, with only 1,500 operating lighthouses left in the world. Even though many lighthouses have lost their usefulness, the history and significance they contain can be appreciated as relics. In the United States, August 7th is also National Lighthouse Day!

Standing alone on the shore facing the endless ocean, the lighthouse has a sense of vicissitudes washed away. It really feels lonely and magnificent! Like an outdated hero or an aging general... with his decaying body Secretly remembering the prosperity that will never return.
