Tutorial on how to make a small zippered fabric wallet. It is also designed with a card slot to hold various cards, which is very practical!
All units are in centimeters, excluding seam allowance. Dimensions are in the order of width * height. It is recommended that you set the seam allowance to 1 cm. Except for the lining, the materials are cotton and linen, so there is no need to lay cotton or lining.
The overall color matching: plain linen, watermelon red, blue and white stripes, hemp base and jade. You can put the cloths together first to feel whether they are coordinated.
1. Make the table cloth. The finished size is 22*11, specifically plain linen: 22*2.5, jade: 22*5.5, blue and white strips: 22*3; after the sewing and splicing is completed, woven labels, etc. can be added decorate.
2. Make one piece of table cloth and back cloth (plain linen): 22*11; two pieces of lining cloth (printed cloth) 22*11;
Card slot cloth: two pieces of 10.5*5 (card slot No. 1), two pieces of 10.5*6.5 (card slot No. 2), two pieces of 10.5*8 (card slot No. 3) (can be used in Soma, Shuiyu and Free choice and combination among blue and white bars);
Card base fabric: 10.5*10 pieces (free to match);
Card base fabric: 22*10 pieces (plain linen).
3. Wrap each card slot. I also use watermelon red wrapping strips here.
3.1 Tips for hemming: First, place the hemming strip and the clamping fabric directly opposite each other, align the edges, and sew together.
3.2 Then fold the hemming strip according to the ironing marks and sew one line. This way, you can make full use of the sewing machine to quickly complete the hemming and save time.
4. Place the wrapped card positions on the base fabric of the two card positions and fix them with beading needles.
5. Baste the card slot and card slot base fabric on the middle side of the wallet.
6. The basted sides are hemmed. After the hemming is completed, fix the lower part of the card position from the inside to the outside. Pay attention to it from the inside to the outside, that is, first turn the No. 3 card position and the bottom fabric of the card position. Sew, then sew No. 2, No. 3 and the base fabric of the card position, and finally sew No. 1, 2, and 3 card positions and the base fabric of the card position together. A card can be used to assist in marking the specific width. Generally, cards It is appropriate to expose 0.5.
6.1 Re-illustration of step six.
7. After the above is completed, align the card position with both sides of the card position and baste the base fabric. It is best to baste all four sides.
8. Baste the card position and the base fabric of the card position, and sew the upper side hemming.
9. Sew the zippers on the table fabric, table fabric back fabric and two pieces of printed cloth. The size of these fabrics is 22*11, and the zipper size is 20; install the buckle tab, the width is about 3, forget the specific details. Yes, quack.
9.1 This is what it looks like inside the calico. Everyone is familiar with the zippering process, so I didn’t take a photo.
10. Then sew the card position we made to the piece of plain linen and back fabric. There are basting seams on both sides and two lines of sewing in the middle. Note: Only sew with this piece of plain linen, do not sew. to other cloths. (We can think of the surface fabric and plain linen as the surface fabric of a bag, the printed fabric as the lining fabric, and the card position and plain linen are sewn together with the back fabric as a whole)
11. Then sew the outer fabrics facing each other and the lining fabrics facing each other, leaving a back opening.
12. Reverse the reverse side, then sew the reverse side with a hidden stitch, then install the four-button buckle, and add other decorations, and its complete.
