A handmade cloth bag/handbag with a zipper. It feels very close to nature. I am a little worried that it will not be found among green plants~~
The methods of making fabric bags are very similar. Children who often make their own bags must already know roughly how to make them after taking a look at the finished product. However, fabric novices should just follow the illustrations below. As an introductory tutorial, it is quite simple. Easy to use!
Material preparation:
Green printed canvas, zipper, 2cm wide cardboard, 30cm long orange cotton thread.
Tool preparation:
Needle and thread, scissors, gel pen.
Production steps:
Step 1: Turn the non-woven fabric face down, fold both sides inward about 1.3cm, and press to make an obvious edge line appear.
Step 2: Sew zippers on both ends of the long sides of the fabric, so that the fabrics are connected end to end (the patterned side faces outward), and the length of the bag should be greater than the length of the zipper.
Step 3: Turn the non-patterned side of the bag facing out and sew the parts without metal chains at both ends of the zipper.
Step 4: Sew the wide sides of the bag. It is recommended to draw the seam with a gel pen before sewing. The ends of the zipper should be about 1cm beyond the suture line.
Step 5: Leave a length of 1cm outside the drawn suture lines on both sides of the bag, cut off the excess fabric, and cut out a corner on both sides of the bottom.
Step 6: Turn the bag to the front, pass one end of the orange thread through the zipper hole, and wrap the other end repeatedly around a 2cm wide piece of cardboard, leaving 5cm to cut out for later use.
Step 7: Pull out the cardboard, use the reserved cotton thread to tie the end of the tassel close to the zipper hole, and cut the other end as shown below to create a beautiful tassel!
