DIY handmade tutorial on a cute and refreshing backpack. Do not use it as a schoolbag, because the fabric and straps are relatively thin. Carrying a few more books will strain your shoulders, and the bag will be seriously deformed if you often carry heavy objects. Ugly as hell. You can put some change, keys, bus cards, glasses and other small odds and ends in it when you go shopping. It can not only free up your pants pockets but also decorate your empty back. Very simple handmade fabric backpack, DIY steps, please refer to the detailed illustrated tutorial below.
Procedure 1: Prepare non-woven fabrics, use new fabrics for the outer fabric and old fabrics for the lining, just to recycle waste. 1 is an old fabric and 234 is a new fabric (I bought sheets of different colors specially).
Procedure 2 is to start sewing new fabric
The thread to be sewn should be of the same color as the fabric, otherwise it will feel weird; if there is no thread of similar color, fold the fabric on both sides to be sewn inward, connect the two pieces, and then sew.
Use the blue thread to fold it inside a little and sew.
Program 3
Find 3 pieces of old fabric and remember to cut them into the same size as the new fabric you just sewed. Then sew each piece of old fabric symmetrically with the new fabric (a little tip: sew slowly and don’t leave any gaps, otherwise it will affect the finished product).
Program 4
I was afraid that there would be gaps and it would not look good, so I sewed a cross shape with thread in the middle, using white thread (a little tip if you don’t worry, you can also follow my example. I sewed a cross with thread in the middle. Of course, you don’t have to do it, as long as you think it’s done well, don’t add any finishing touches).
Program 5
Fold the end of the old fabric in half and sew in parallel (you don’t need to pay too much attention to the thread when sewing on the old fabric, as long as it is neat).
Remember: Leave a gap in the folded piece to connect the rope.
Program 6
Cut a small piece of new fabric and sew it into the gap in the bag (this must be sewn well, otherwise the bag will break if you put heavy objects on it)
Program 7
Fold the new fabric one centimeter to two centimeters inward and continue sewing. Here you need to use a thread that matches the new fabric (be careful when sewing here, don’t sew out of shape. It’s better to have a straight line, which will be much more beautiful. If you sew it, Can't make itFor straight lines, you can carefully mark them with a ruler and pencil).
Program 8
Then you need to find a rope to thread through the bag.
Program 9
As long as you pull the ropes at both ends, the mouth will be closed (I made it with two ribbons, and the bottom one was made into a bow for a better look).
Program 10
I thought it was a bit monotonous, so I found a bow from a previous hairband and sewed it on (if it was too monotonous, you can sew anything, as long as it matches the bag you made)
Program 11
The finished backpack looks pretty good.
