The Spring Festival is coming soon. Have you bought any new clothes? Do you have old sweaters that need to be discarded? Don’t throw them away. You can reuse waste, turn waste into treasure, and DIY to make beautiful handbags.
Preparation materials:
An old sweater, calico, household sewing machine, needlework, drawings of birds.
The length and width of the bag depends on the size of the sweater you start preparing. The one we made here is 15 inches wide and 12 inches high. As shown in the picture above, we measure the size of the underside of the sweater and cut it out.
On the lower right corner of the sweater we attach a bird cut from the printed fabric.
We used printed fabric to make an inner bag for this bag, so that the bag is not only beautiful but also more practical. Since my sweater is 15" x 12", my calico measures 15" x 17". Because in the end, the printed fabric that grows on top needs to be turned out and sewn to the outside.
Finally, we used printed fabric to make straps for the bag and sewed them on, and a beautiful bird handbag was ready.
