Handmade tutorial on small fresh patchwork coin purse/pencil bag. The plain striped fabric is paired with a robin watercolor painting to create a simple patchwork coin purse/pencil bag. A simple non-woven DIY tutorial, but very practical... I also like the craft work. Friends who like it can learn DIY together. Just one.
Finished coin purse/pencil case dimensions: upper opening: 23 cm, lower bottom: 15 cm × 8 cm
Details of coin purse/pencil bag: zipper, bronze zipper puller, cowhide rope
Making Tutorial:
1. Cutting of table fabric.
The required fabric size is (length × width):
Robin original cotton and linen dyed canvas 9 × 9 cm 1 piece
Blue stripes: 7 × 9 cm × 2 pieces, 23 × 9cm 1 piece
Plain cotton and linen: 23 × 8 cm × 1 piece
2. Patchwork.
Assemble the pieces, iron and trim the edges. Overall dimensions when assembled are 23 × 26 cm.
3. Iron the hard lining.
Ironing the adhesive lining on the back of the watch fabric can make the finished coin purse/pencil case more crisp.
4. Install the zipper.
Sew a zipper on the upper and lower ends of the fabric. I use meters of zippers, cut them as much as I need, and install the zipper pullers myself.
It is recommended to use a zipper presser foot for sewing.
5. This is what it looks like after sewing.
6. Turn the table overWith the inside facing out, fold it in half and sew the openings on both sides.
7. Fold two small triangles on the bottom edge, sew a line, and cut off the excess.
When folding, pay attention to aligning it with the plain cotton and linen, so that our bottom surface can be made.
At this time the outer layer of the pencil case is completed.
8. Make the inner layer.
Take a piece of plain cotton and linen, measuring 23 × 26 cm, and repeat steps 7-8 to make the inner layer.
9. Suture.
Carefully put the outer layer and the inner layer together, adjust the position and sew at the zipper.
