Handmade embroidery, fallen flowers, no one sweeping the ground, green moss, paths with few people w

Recently, apart from doing embroidery, I spend the rest of my time reading. The books I read the most are about Japanese writers. Some time ago, I finished reading Su Zhenshus "A Deer Comes: Everyday Life in Kyoto" again, because This is the second time I read it. I read it slowly, and because the author is very knowledgeable, I can easily pick up the historical anecdotes in the article, but they are all unfamiliar to me. I had to read and digest them word by word before I found it useful. There are many mentioned in the article. I took note of the collected works of well-known Japanese writers that the author himself had read, and bought them if he was interested and read them carefully. Before I knew Su Zhenshu, I had read "The Tale of Genji" in its entirety. Maybe it was because of the translation, but I always had doubts in my mind. The original work must be more beautiful than the translation. Reading the translation alone is not enough to accept the level comparable to "A Dream of Red Mansions".
