I feel that my aesthetics and that of many others came from the opposite direction. When I was young or even very young, I only liked all things that were simple and plain. The simpler and purer I felt, I felt very happy. Thinking about it now, I just didn’t have it at that time. I’ve seen really good things in good condition, hand-polished to the extreme bit by bit, pure and natural with every detail. I’m talking about the things used. Of course, there are irreplaceable things that I’ve seen with my own eyes. It’s like a piece of clothing in the countryside in the 1990s. Grass and trees, birds, beasts, insects and fish, spring flowers and autumn moon, summer lotus and winter snow constitute the earliest aesthetic perspective of life. Many of the embroidery handicrafts I share with you are involuntarily integrated into these expressions and memories, and I express them over and over again, never getting tired of them.
