Corn husks are flexible and strong, suitable for use as knitting materials. This article will share with you how to twist Pudong with corn husks.
Materials required for corn husks and Pudun straw weaving:
Corn husk, water
Illustrated tutorial on how to twist Pu Dun straw braiding with corn husks:
Soak the dried corn husks in water. If the corn husks are relatively moist, you can skip this step.
Tear the corn husks into small even strips along the fiber direction.
When braiding braids, be sure to leave as much stubble as possible while the braids are strong. The length of the stubble determines the height of the pudding. The length of the braid determines the size of the poudun noodles.
This kind of braid requires 2 braids, and no stubble will be left at the last section.
Tie the stubbled ends of the two braids with a rope.
Stack the stubble parts together and roll them tightly.
Finally, roll up the part without any stubble.
Tuck the end into the seam of the braid, press it tightly, and you are done.
Another method
In addition to Juan Pu Dun, it can also be compiled directly.
First prepare the corn husks, tie them with a knot, and tighten them.
Continue while twisting. The method is similar to braiding. When braiding, only use half of the warp and leave half to connect adjacent knots when braiding.
When compiled to the appropriate size, recycle it in the same way.
Finally, tuck in the braidsEnter the mezzanine and complete
Notes
The corn husks should be moist and even, not too dry or too wet.
Knitting must be tight and twisting must be firm.
In addition to corn husks, we can expand the application and use other flexible materials (such as old clothes at home, cut into thin strips) to make cushions.
