Introduction to Ansai folk painting:
Ansai is located in the north of the Yan'an region of Shaanxi Province, on the upper reaches of the Yan River. Ansai is located in the birthplace of the clan culture of the Yellow Emperor, the ancestor of China, and is dotted with painted pottery sites from the Yangshao Culture and Longshan Culture. After the Ming Dynasty, due to natural and man-made disasters, the ecological balance was destroyed, resulting in historical traffic closures and cultural closures, which have long been lost in other regions. The ancient national cultural traditions have been relatively completely preserved among the people here and have become a living fossil of history and culture.
Several rural ladies who were born and raised in Ansai are local experts in painting kang paintings, pot paintings, wall flowers, and egg shell mosaics. The paintings they painted are simple and unsophisticated in style, filled with sustenance and love for life. They have strong Ansai regional characteristics and strong artistic shock.
