First select a red rope of appropriate length. Generally, a simple Chinese knot of 15-20 cm is enough. It doesn’t matter if it is longer. You can cut it off when the time comes.

Then fold the red rope in half and arrange it into the following shape, and use small tape to fix the upper, lower and left ropes. The right side can be fixed or not.

Turn the two lower ones up to the right side of the two upper ones, and then turn the two right ones to the left side of the two upper ones, as shown in the picture.

Then, turn the two top ones to the bottom, press the two left ones against the two turned down ones, insert them underneath and pull out the two right ones, as shown in the picture.

Next, pull the ropes on the four sides and tighten it so that the middle is roughly square. Pull the two diagonal sides together. After pulling it, it will be the same as the picture.

Finally, turn the two bottom pieces up to the left, turn the left side to the right, turn the top side to the bottom, and then push the right side to the left and push the bottom side through, as shown in the picture

Finally, tighten the diagonal corners until the center is roughly square, and then pull the diagonal lines of the four corners outwards. As shown in the picture, a simple Chinese knot is completed.
