Materials and tools: cardboard, Christmas patterned paper, black marker, Christmas foam stickers, paper cutter (optional), tracing pencil, scissors, glue stick.
Step 1:First cut out the stocking shape as a template, put it on the cardboard and trace it.
Step 2: Cut out the main part according to the template. We use red, green and blue as our Christmas and winter theme colors.
Step 3: Use a paper cutter to cut the Christmas patterned paper into 1 inch by 5.5 inch strips. If you don't have a paper cutter, just cut the strips of different lengths by hand with scissors. Alternatively, you can tear strips of paper to give your Christmas craft a little more texture.
Step 4: Place the different strips on the cardstock to determine which patterns you want to use and how to arrange them.
Step 5: Once you have determined the location of each strip, use a glue stick to attach it to the cardstock.
Step 6: Turn your Christmas stocking face down and trim off any excess.
Step 7: Paste the other cut pieces of cardboard onto the socks.
Step 8: Use a black marker to write your childs name at the top.
Step 9: Add some festive flair by adding cute Christmas foam stickers near the top of the stocking~
