This lantern is easy to make and very cute, but a little time consuming. If you're looking for a great way to decorate for the Chinese New Year, check it out. It shouldn't be difficult to transform a lamb into a mouse. Friends, are you a little excited? Come and follow the illustrations below to try it out when you are ready!~
Materials and tools: hot glue gun, paper lantern, coffee filter, cardboard, scissors.
1. Prepare paper lanterns.
2. Glue the coffee filter to the paper lantern in whatever design you think is most attractive. This part is easy to make but will take you upwards of 3 hours depending on the size of the lantern. After completing this part of the work, you are basically finished making the Year of the Sheep lanterns.
3. Keep pasting the coffee filter paper until the entire lantern is covered.
4. Find suitable templates for the sheeps horns, eyes and mouth and use black and brown paper to make them.
5. Glue the cut cardboard to the lantern. You can add legs/hooves if desired and also a Happy Year of the Sheep sign.
6. That’s it! You have a super cute paper lantern to celebrate the Chinese New Year~
