Tutorial on how to make a Christmas ice cream stick fireplace for children

This fireplace craft is super easy and festive for kids and is a great way to welcome Christmas. Materials and tools: ice cream sticks, brown paint, paintbrush, black, red, white and brown cardboard, orange and yellow crepe paper, Christmas ribbons, hot glue gun, glue stick, scissors.

Step 1: Collect eight ice cream sticks to make a fireplace. Use a hot glue gun to glue them together as shown above to form the fireplace.

Step 2: Paint the fireplace all over with brown paint. Set aside to dry completely.

Step 3: Refer to the template above and cut out the fireplace material from the cardboard. Use black cardboard to cut out the interior of the fireplace, brown cardboard to cut out firewood, and red and white cardboard to make Christmas stockings.

Step 4: When the paint on the fireplace is dry, add glue to both sides of the black cardstock and stick it to the back of the fireplace.

Step 5: Cut about 6 inches of yellow crepe paper and about 3 inches of orange crepe paper. Carefully tape the yellow crepe paper to the bottom of the fireplace, then tape the orange crepe paper on top.

Step 6:Use a glue stick to stick two firewood sticks to the base of the fire.

Step 7: Add hot glue to the top of the fireplace and place Christmas ribbon on top to decorate the mantle.

Step 8: Glue the top of the red sock along the exterior wall of the fireplace.

Step 9: Cut a piece of rope about 8 inches long, bend it into a loop, and tie a knot at the end to create a hanging cord for the fireplace ornament.
