Do children like to play with dough? It is natural, pollution-free and healthier than plasticine. Sharing a fun handmade tutorial, use dough to make winter snowman refrigerator magnets, which can be used and collaged. If children also like this fun winter craft idea, follow the illustrated steps below to try it!~
Materials and tools: 1/2 cup salt, 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup warm water, magnetic strips, beads, acrylic paint, ice cream sticks, craft knife, etc.
1. Mix flour, salt and water together to make a dough.
2. Use a rolling pin to make it 1/4 inch thick. Use a knife to cut out the desired shape.
3. Place the formed shapes on a shallow baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
4. Add opaque beads to make eyes, buttons, and mouth.
5. Bake the snowman in the oven at 200 degrees Fahrenheit for 2-3 hours. The beads would not melt and got stuck in the dough.
6. When your snowman is finished baking, paint the nose with orange paint. Paint two ice cream sticks brown to serve as the snowmans arms.
7. Glue the magnets to the back of the snowman.
8. This combined refrigerator magnet is ready. You can place the snowman on the refrigerator or metal surface.
9. If you make multiple snowmen, you can mix and match the bodies of the snowmen, which is fun~
