Christmas is coming, but you still have no idea how to decorate the room beautifully? Maybe you can try making lights with wool. Even after the holiday, you can continue to keep them in the room, giving us a warm feeling!~.
Materials and tools: yarn (red and green), scissors, bowl, water, measuring cup, Elmers liquid glue, balloon, plastic fork or spoon, Scotch tape, wax paper, rolled paper towels.
The following are optional: shoe box, hair dryer.
Count how many small bulbs your light strip has. Each light bulb needs to correspond to a balloon.
Mix together 1/2 cup glue with ? cup water. Using a plastic fork or spoon, glue the stick until the mixture is similar to the consistency of milk.
Note: ? cup glue and ? cup water is enough for about 15 balloons.
Put the yarn into the glue mixture.
Start wrapping one of the balloons in a criss-cross/diagonal pattern.
Once the balloon is covered, cut the yarn and press it against the top of the balloon.
Repeat the steps to process as many balloons as needed and let the balloons sit until dry (about 24 hours).
Optional: Quick drying. To speed up the drying process, use a hair dryer on a low setting and gently blow the air around the ball. Tip: Place balloons in a shoe box to prevent them from blowing away.
After the wool is dry, use scissors to pop the balloon and take it out.
Remove the balloon remnants from the dried hair ball.
Attach the finished wool lampshade to the small light bulb and put a piece of tape around the wool and the bulb to prevent them from falling off.
If there is any glue on the table or utensils, wipe it clean with a damp paper towel. Congratulations! You have now completed making beautiful Christmas lights~
