This Paper Bowl Pumpkin Craft is easy to make for preschoolers and kids of all ages and would be fun to use as a Halloween decoration at home or school.
I'm always looking for fun ways to craft in a rich way using simple materials I already have on hand. Heres a fun and easy way for kids to turn paper bowls into simple pumpkin monster crafts this Halloween.
Supplies needed for this easy pumpkin craft:
Pumpkin face template
Paper tray
Orange pigment
Black paint (optional, you can also color with crayons, pencils or markers)
Paint brush
Colored cardboard
Brown cardboard
Scissors
Glue
1. Turn the paper plate face down and paint it completely with orange paint. I like to use a sponge brush for coloring, it helps the paint spread easily into all the different crevices of the paper plate. Set the paper plate aside to dry completely.
2. Find and print out Pumpkin Face online. Place the paper face down and paint it with black paint. Let it dry completely.
3. After the painted pumpkin surface is completely dry, cut it out.
4. Use a glue stick to stick the pumpkin’s eyes, nose and mouth on the paper plate.
5. Add a large amount of glue along the edge of the paper plate, and then place the paper plate on the colored cardboard. Use your fingers to press the edges down onto the cardstock so the glue sticks to the paper.
6. Cut out a rectangular shape from brown cardboard and attach it to the top of the pumpkin.
7. Your paper plate pumpkin monster craft is complete!
Children can customize their pumpkin crafts in so many fun ways, starting with a colorful background of their choice~
