Being inspired to create an embossed card that stands out for Mothers Day. First draw a vase on the card, and then paste dried flowers on the mouth of the bottle. I think it is very cute and a very warm and sweet idea!~
Material preparation: 1. Various wild flowers and leaves (at least four kinds), 2. Three pieces of cardboard, 3. Scissors, 4. Glue, 5. Paint brush, 6. Tweezers, 7. Parchment paper, 8. Thick book, 9. Pencil, 10. Jar template
**Optional: tissue paper and twine.
Gather some different types of flowers that are small enough to fit into the card. For example, a blooming rose will be the star of this Mothers Day card.
Open the thick book, put in the parchment paper, and lay it flat.
Place the prepared fresh leaves and flowers on one side of the parchment paper, then gently close the book.
If the book is not thick enough, you can place some heavy objects on it.
Leave for a few days until the flowers dry.
Then take out the white cardboard, cut it to any size you like, and fold it in half.
Note: Be careful when folding the card in half, and you should not make any unnecessary wrinkles or scratches.
Take out the glass bottle template, place it on the window, and cover it with the unfolded cardboard. Now you can see the lines on the template.
Use a pencil to lightly trace lines on the cardboard, then deepen and thicken them.
Use tweezers to remove the dried flowers from the parchment paper.
It is not necessary to stick all the dried flowers and leaves to the mouth of the jar. It is also reasonable to stick some flowers or leaves on the top of the glass jar.
When attaching dried flowers and leaves to card, you should dip a paint brush in glue and apply it lightly. Make sure you get to every edge of the flower leaves, otherwise it may peel or come loose. But don't use too much glue, as that will make it harder to dry.
Once you master the correct collage technique, the resulting cards will become even more beautiful. The middle card is my favorite and the last one I made. If you don’t like the finished cards at first, try pairing them in different ways until youUntil you find a combination you like!
Instead of using an envelope that might damage the flower, wrap it in tissue paper and tie it with string and tie it with a bow!
Hope you enjoyed this tutorial,And have fun creating embossed cards that please you.
