Prepare the materials and follow the steps below to give it a try!~
Materials and tools: floral wire (green paper wrapped outside), paper vine, green tape, white glue, awl, scissors, needle-nose pliers.
1. First open the paper rattan to be about 9.5cm wide.
2. Draw a circle on the obtained colored paper with a diameter of 7.5-8.0cm. After drawing, fold six layers (open flowers) or four layers (half-open flowers) of the same size into squares, and cut out circles together.
Then fold it in half into a semicircle, cut out eight semi-separated petals, and then cut small teeth around the circle. After cutting, find the centerPoke holes with an awl.
3. The completed look is as shown above.
4. Bend one end of the green wire into a small hook and wrap it with several layers of paper towels. This will prevent the colored paper from pulling off after being installed. In addition, you can also apply glue to the white paper to stick the petals.
5. Pass the other end of the wire into the center of the colored paper. First stick a layer of paper on the core, pinch it, and then put the other layers up one by one. You need to change the angle when wrapping each layer up, otherwise the cut will be too neat and natural in one position.
6. Use dark yellow paper vines to make half-open flowers, and pinch them tightly. Use light yellow paper vines to make open flowers, so don’t pinch them too tightly.
7. Open the green paper vine and cut out leaves about 5cm long and 7-8mm wide. A flower has four leaves. The big piece of green paper next to it is the tori, about 7cm long and 5cm wide.
8. Wrap several layers of paper towels on the lower part of the flower, and then wrap the flower receptacle on the outside. The bottom closing area should be pinched tightly.
9. After wrapping the green paper, wrap the bottom with green tape a few times to close it. The green tape is used on the left side of the red arrow, and the one on the right is not used yet.
10. Next, use green tape to wrap the leaves, so that every two leaves face each other. The opposite directions of the other two pieces below are perpendicular to those of these two pieces.
11. That’s it, the beautiful paper vine carnation flowers are ready~
