I recently got a small piece of wood that weighs about 180 grams. I want to preserve the log look as much as possible, so I try to make a small bamboo ruler or an arm rest. I love making bamboo the most, I think it is easier to work with. This time I also made bamboo joints, but I carved some bamboo leaves into the leather to create a low relief. There is about 150 grams left in the finished engraving, and only about 30 grams are lost in the end. It meets the plan requirements. There are pictures of the production process, and interested woodworkers can watch and learn from each other. Generally, drawing is done first, then carving, and finally polishing (from 120 mesh. 180.180.320.600.800.1000.1200.1500.2000 mesh) and finally wool wheel polishing. Basically the whole process is hand-carved, and a mahogany scraper is used as a flat bottom. The entire polishing process requires a lot of patience.
