This is the hand-carving process of making a sandalwood carving chopstick holder. I robbed a few West Australian jade sandalwood sticks from a friend who was playing incense and made a chopstick holder just for fun.

Step 2 of hand carving of sandalwood chopstick holders:
This kind of material is originally used for fumigation and burning. Seeing the delicate wood and crisp sound, I asked a friend to buy a few sticks to try carving.
By the way, my friend also has obsessive-compulsive disorder, and the ones he used for burning were cut so neatly, which saved me a lot of effort...
Step 3 of hand-carving sandalwood chopstick holders:
Draw the side view first, because it is very small, just straighten the straight line, and then you can grind it on the sandpaper; on the contrary, the fixed point is very important, after all, it is a millimeter-level thing. A single fingernail thickness difference is already a big difference
Step 4 of making hand-carved sandalwood chopstick holders:
The drawn lines intersect with each other. In order to avoid mistakes, use a red pen to mark the completed position clearly
Step 5 of making hand-carved sandalwood chopstick holders:
Use a file to repair and shape it
Step 6 of hand-carving sandalwood chopstick holders:
Use the sandpaper to 2000#, and the jade texture will appear.
That little hook plays a big role. Today’s chopstick rests are ignored. For details, please see my introduction in the handmade circle
