Many office workers like to bring their own lunch boxes to save money and eat healthily. It is essential to make a good-looking and usable bag for the lunch box. Let’s follow the production department editor to learn how to make a lunch box bag. Let’s make a beautiful and practical lunch bag together.
Make a bento bag:
- Prepare the fabric. The size of the fabric can be chosen based on the size of your lunch box. Fold the fabric right side out in half.
- In this way, cut the fabric to size.
- Fold the fabric as shown.
- Put in the lunch box and determine the depth of the bag. You can set the depth of the bag to 10 cm and the thickness to 4.5 cm.
- Pressed into strong creases.
- As shown in the picture, overlap the yellow and red lines so that the edge looks like a "W".
- Part of the bag is at the front.
- Place the bottom overlapping fabric in front. At this time, please note that the "W" part does not move (do not shift).
- Fold up (top) to change the fold line in the opposite direction.
- As shown in the picture.
- Sew the red line. Turn it over (next step) and adjust the size when placed in your lunch box.
- As shown in the picture.
- The bottom part of the bag will form a triangle like in the previous step.
Put a box of lunch in and look at the width. Go back to process "11" again.
- When returning to the back of process "11" to sew the narrow width, return it to the front and look at the width. For example, sew a yellow thread, check the width, if it is large, sew a thinner black thread. In this way we will gradually approach the size of a suitable choice.
- After determining the width, determine the length of the lid. Fold the crease (white line) where you choose.
For reference, in this lunch box, the length of the lid is 8.5 cm.
- Go back to step "11". Trim off extra seam allowance. For the lid side, take a 1cm seam allowance on the fold line (white line) connected in the previous part and cut it off
- Fold the seam allowance of the lid to the front and sew the lid shape (yellow line).
- And sew the end (yellow thread).
- Sew and paste and complete. Have you learned how to make lunch boxes? Make your own lunch box a beautiful and practical lunch bag by hand!
