Ever since I was a child, I have always been fond of Van Goghs works. I once stared at his oil painting "Sunflower" for a long time, and was laughed at by my father for a while. One day, I had a sudden idea, what would be the effect if I copied the "Sunflower" painting onto the white canvas shoes I bought a few days ago?
Materials and tools: a pair of white canvas shoes, a yellow pencil or yellow watercolor pen, and a paintbrush.
Acrylic paints in bright yellow, antique yellow, orange, brown, light green, and dark green.
Van Goghs sunflower painting as a reference.
First draw the flowers with a yellow pencil. I used a watercolor pen because its softer and doesn't look like a pencilThat will melt into the paint.
Paint the petals with light yellow and dark yellow acrylic paint, filling the center with dark yellow.
Use light and dark green paint to paint green leaves in different sizes. Draw the center of the sunflower in different shades of dark yellow and green-brown.
Using a small brush, add highlights to the center of the flower. Do this for each flower on the shoe until it is complete.
If you need to clean up some spilled paint on the sides, use a light acetone nail polish remover and dab it away.
This part is optional, draw a light yellow line on the top edge of the sole.
Now, you can put on your brand new sunflower shoes to enjoy the sunshine and beauty~
