Isn’t it amazing to make cute puppy dolls with socks? DIY socks can also make such exquisite and interesting plush toys!
First, find a pair of cotton socks.
First make the back half of the puppy doll. Turn the sock over, inside out, and cut it at the appropriate position. The distance from the cut position to the heel determines the length of the puppys hind legs.
Sew the two legs together, make a small opening at the top of the toe of the sock, turn the sock over at the small opening, and stuff in the stuffing.
Finally, fold and sew the head end in place, it should be roughly an arc shape. Later we will use another sock to make a dog head cover here, so it can be roughly sewed, and it will be covered later.
Now take another sock and use it to make other parts. The front end of the sock is used to make the ears, and the heel of the sock is used to make the head, nose, and neck. The rest of the sock makes the front legs and tail.
Now sew these areas together. Remember, one end of the head is stitched and then stuffed. The other end does not need to be sealed and is placed on the neck of the body we just made.
Adjust the position of the puppys head and body, and then sew them together.
The last part is to sew the puppys front legs, ears and tail into place.
Use cute buttons and leftover fabric to make a sweet little face for the puppy.
The nose part usually looks better with black buttons. You can also sew it on yourself using black cloth pieces to form a three-dimensional heart-shaped nose.
Hurry up and pick out a pair of cotton socks with beautiful textures and try them out.
