The dining table is usually covered with a tablecloth, which can not only protect the tabletop, but also play a decorative role. It is very convenient to change it when you get tired of it. Below, the craft editor will share with you a beautiful DIY tutorial for patchwork tablecloth, which is practical and fashionable. When spread on the tabletop, it will make your home feel much warmer.
Production steps:
Step 1:
Prepare a 101cm square piece of plain cloth, arrange the small squares into strips according to your preference and connect them to the plain cloth.
A total of: 9 small squares spliced ??into long strips, 2 strips; 11 small squares spliced ??into long strips, 4 strips; 13 small squares spliced ??into long strips, 2 strips.
Note: The seam allowance should be 0.75cm when splicing.
Step 2: Connect the assembled long strips to the plain cloth as shown in the picture, first connect 9 pieces of strips, and then connect 11 pieces.
Repeat the above steps and add another frame, except that the long strip of 11 pieces is connected first, and then the 13 pieces are connected.
The side strips have been spliced ??successfully, and now the entire area should be a 145cm square.
Step 3: Gray polka dot base fabric: 167cm square, fold each of the four corners 1.25cm toward the back of the fabric as shown.
Fold in 5cm as shown and iron out the crease.
Open the folded fabric, and then fold the triangle piece into the opposite side of the fabric at a 45-degree angle, as shown in the picture, and the creases must be aligned.
Draw a straight line 1.25cm away from the edge along the triangle, and cut off the triangle piece along the straight line.
Fold both sides as shown
Step 4: Spread the base fabric upside down and lay it flat. Place the assembled top fabric on the base fabric. The centers must be aligned. Fold the bottom according to the folding method in the previous step.
Step 5: Sew along the edge of the base fabric as shown, and sew the bottom and top fabric together, including the diagonal line.
OK, a simple and warm tablecloth DIY is completed, so easy!
