Replacing invisible zippers requires certain skills, otherwise the effect will be counterproductive and affect the overall beauty of the clothes. Here I will introduce to you how to replace the invisible zipper with the sewing machine presser foot.
Tools for zipper replacement: Sewing machine, invisible zipper foot, double-sided tape.
Steps to replace a zipper:
1) Prepare the invisible zipper foot.
2) Remove the stitching around the broken zipper.
3) Use an iron to flatten the opening where the zipper will be installed.
4) Align and stack the two sides of the opening, fix it with a bead needle and baste them together.
5) Iron open the seam allowance after basting.
6) Paste a piece of double-sided tape on both sides of the invisible zipper. (You can use double-sided tape instead of using false seams to fix the zipper)
7) Peel off the sticker on the surface of the tape, then align the zipper opening and paste it on the seams on both sides.
8) Remove the basting seam, and use a sewing machine equipped with an invisible zipper foot to sew the fabric edges on both sides of the zipper to the garment.
