Step3: First, I will show you a drawing method similar to a poppy flower. Wet the No. 6 pen in the bucket, dip it in dark blue, and draw a U shape on the paper (as shown in the picture)

Step4: Fill in the U shape so that it looks like the sides of the petals. Then draw a few smaller petals on it, leaving a very narrow gap in the middle.

Step5: Before the flower is dry, quickly wash the watercolor pen in water, then dip some purple, tap it along the bottom of the petals, and let the color slowly penetrate into the blue. If the color is too dark, You can use a paper towel to soak up some of the color.

Step6: Use the smallest pen dipped in green, add some color to the bottom of the petals, let the green seep into the blue at the bottom, and then quickly draw a thin line as the rhizome of the flower.

Step7: Now let us draw another flower. This one looks like a claw chrysanthemum. Use the smallest pen (No. 0) and magenta, and quickly draw the arc of the petals from the center on the paper, shaped like an umbrella. When your pen is about to dry, dip some water and paint in it and continue drawing. .

Step8: In the same way, use the smallest pen dipped in green and quickly draw a curved rhizome.

Step9: Now lets draw another small rose, draw a thin stem, and use a small piece of blue on the top.

Step10: Use purple to draw the stamens on the top of the flower. Note that if the color is too dark, don’t forget to use a tissue to absorb the color

Step11: Next, you can use the same technique as the first flower to draw another blue-purple poppy flower, change the shape, and experiment.

Step12: After the flowers are dry, you can go back and add some details to them.

Step13: Let’s draw another blue flower, this time draw a front view of the flower. Paint with blue watercolor and use paper towels to absorb the color in between to let it blend naturally.

Step14: Draw leaves, press the pen down and then lift it up to connect it to the rhizome.

Step16: If you feel that the color of the flower is a bit sparse, you can turn it back now and add color again.

Volia! The work is completed. Take a look at the paper next to it. This is used to adjust the color before painting. This is very convenient and effective. You can adjust the color and select the thickness of the brush before actually creating the work.

Some additional tips: When painting roses or peonies, use a small brush to start at the center of the "C" and slowly increase the radius of the "C" until you're satisfied.
