Simple drawing of coconut tree

The coconut tree is a tree in the palm family and is one of the most important crops in the tropics. The trunk is slender, sloping, with ring marks, and can reach a height of 25 meters. The top of the tree has large, feathery leaves that form a graceful canopy. When people see coconut trees, they naturally think of the tropics and the beach. The mature fruit is oval or ellipsoidal, with a thick shell and rich in fiber; the endocarp is hard, filled with endosperm (composed of coconut meat and coconut juice), and has a small embryo. Coconuts can float on water, and mature coconuts fall and are easily spread to various places by sea currents. This is why there are so many coconut trees on tropical beaches. Coconut trees grow most luxuriantly on the seashore where the terrain is just above the high tide level, where there is circulating groundwater, and where there is sufficient rainfall. Most of the worlds coconuts are produced on small plantations. Use mature coconut fruits to propagate, peel off the outer skin, place it in a seedbed, cover it with soil, and transplant the seedlings after 4 to 10 months. It usually begins to bear fruit after 5 to 6 years, and reaches the peak fruiting period in 15 years. The fruit maturity period is one year, and each coconut tree can produce up to 100 fruits per year, only half of which grow well. The fruit-producing period can last until the tree is 50 years old. The dried kernel is called coconut meat, and the highest-grade vegetable oil-coconut oil can be squeezed out. Coconut meat can also be eaten. The juice in unripe coconuts is called coconut milk and can be drank. The coconut shell fiber, which is not afraid of seawater corrosion, can be made into ropes, mats, baskets, brushes and brooms. When the young flower stems are injured or cut off, coconut palm sap will flow out, which is sweet and can be drank directly or used to make sugar and alcohol. The young shoots cut off from the top of the coconut tree are called palm cabbage and are edible. Ripe coconut leaves are used for roofing or basket weaving. The trunk is fibrous and not easy to rot. It can be used to build sheds. The wood is called porcupine wood as a fine wood.

Coconut is full of treasures. Its skin can be processed into carpets and ropes. The shell can be made into various well-known handicrafts "Hainan coconut carvings", bowls, wine glasses, monkey heads... When the coconut meat is tender, it is sweet and smooth, and you will have endless aftertaste after eating it. When you are old, you can squeeze it into coconut milk. If you drink a cup of natural coconut milk every day, it will not only taste delicious, increase your intelligence and strengthen your brain, but also play a role in beautifying and prolonging your life. It can also be processed into different flavors of coconut sugar, snacks, and the world-famous state banquet drink, coconut brand coconut juice. Coconut root can be used to make medicine. Coconut leaves are also useful. They can be woven into mats to sit on to enjoy the shade and provide shade. The branches can be used to make furniture and serve as roof beams in building houses. After the coconut tree is planted, people generally do not need special cultivation. It can grow as long as there is soil.
