Guangzhou Yihang Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. exhibited a manned low-altitude electric aircraft that can be put into use at CES 2016.
The quad-rotor design can only carry one person, the maximum load-bearing capacity is 100KG, it can fly continuously for 23 minutes, and the flight speed is 100km/h. It adopts a four-axis eight-propeller power system and has a built-in FAIL-SAFE system. When parts or itself are found to be damaged, it can automatically conduct an assessment to determine whether to continue flying or land.
Other functions include an air conditioning system, 4G network, two-color reading lights, and a small space for storing things. According to Guandang, the aircraft will be commercially available in 2016, with a cost price of approximately US$300,000.
