Swimming is the best activity in hot summer. People who cannot swim must wear thick and bulky life jackets to enjoy the coolness of water activities. Julia Grochal, a product engineer from Bolan, designed IUW, a lightweight floating wearable device.
IUW has two functions: life jacket and disposable equipment, but it is much lighter and thinner than traditional life jackets. The internal material is polyurethane foam, and the shape is designed to fit your body very well, so you won't feel much hindrance when swimming. In addition to the flotation function, polyester fiber shoulder straps can pull people to the water at critical moments
The fabric uses neoprene-coated nylon material, which has the advantages of waterproof, wear-resistant and UV-proof , the two colors of fluorescent green and fluorescent gray are easier to see. Velcro fastening makes it easy to put on whether on the water or on shore. IUW complies with the SOLAS Convention (International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea) and aims to improve safety at sea in an innovative and ergonomic way.
