Li Taoyuan, a technology company called IShuu, has designed a Volvorii electronic ink high-heeled shoes, available in black and white. A thin E-INK electronic ink display is adhered to the surface of the shoe, which can be customized to display various patterns. There is a low-power Bluetooth module installed on the bottom of the shoe, and users can use their mobile phones to set the display pattern. There is another wireless charging module installed in the sole, so users can wirelessly charge the display. Because e-ink displays consume so little power, they can last for weeks on a single charge.
The product has been raised on crowdfunding websites, and the first batch of users can reserve it for only $149, with delivery expected in December this year. For more information, check out the Volvorii Indiegogo page.
