A research team at Stanford University recently announced their latest research results - a transparent lithium-ion battery that has many advantages such as softness and low cost. The electrodes of this battery are in the shape of a mesh, but each "wire" in the "net" is very tiny (only 35 microns wide), beyond the limit of what the naked eye can distinguish, so the battery looks transparent. Different from the earliest transparent batteries with low power, this battery currently has a power storage capacity of up to half of that of ordinary lithium-ion batteries. After further improvement, it can meet the demand for powering general electronic products. This kind of battery provides the possibility to produce electronic products such as transparent mobile phones, so it has received widespread attention.
