Open Toys! Fruit and vegetable toys that kids can’t resist

Children who are picky eaters hate eating fruits and vegetables the most! Although the author is a child who loves to eat vegetables, I often hear about mothers worrying about unbalanced nutrition because of their picky eaters. Designer Samuel Bernier of French 3D design company le FabShop has launched a series of 3D printed props, which combine fruits and vegetables to become irresistible Open Toys for children!

The product idea for Open Toys originated from the summer of 2013, when Samuel Bernier went to Domaine de Boisbuchet to participate in an educational exhibition on architectural design. He said: "From that time on, I tried to combine nature with technology. I hope there will be a wonderful chemical reaction."

When Bernier showed the Open Toys series of works, he placed the parts and various fruits on the table for the children to play freely. The children present flocked to play and had a great time!

Bernier believes: "This is a game without any rules, you just need to use your imagination!"

Because of Open Toys, toys have been redefined. They can be assembled freely like building blocks, which can best unleash childrens rich and unexpected creativity. With Open Toys, vegetables no longer seem so annoying to children, but mothers may have to worry about why the potatoes they just bought in the morning have disappeared again!
