The beautiful bouquet lanterns made from cake cups look a bit like the laser lights in KTV, as if you are listening to the powerful rock music and want to dance along~~
To make this lighting, you need to prepare a lot of cake cups. It may be a bit difficult to collect the leftover paper cups from eating cakes. Moreover, such paper cups have cake crumbs stuck on them and cannot be cleaned. In short, it is very troublesome. It is better to buy them directly online. . Here, according to the usual practice, this handmade tutorial is classified into environmentally friendly small production.
Material preparation:
100-125 white, standard size cupcake liners; 100-125 small vertical striped cupcake papers; 1 18-22 inch white paper lantern.
Tool preparation:
1 hot glue gun; 1 IKEA household wire.
Production steps:
Take a wide and shallow bowl as the base and place the lantern in the bowl
Put a small bead of hot glue on the bottom back of the white cupcake liner. Starting one-half inch from the wire loop at the top of the lantern, place the cupcake liners on the lantern, pressing straightto stick.
Continue gluing around the wire, leaving gaps between the papers, so that the circular bases of the linings are about an inch apart. This allows the outer edges to blend and shape.
Allow the cupcake liner circle form to adhere around the lantern until three-quarters of the way up the lantern. Then turn the lantern over and gently place it back into the bowl, with the original upper end facing down.
Continue to finish the remaining quarter, covering the base so that the cupcake liners cover the opening of the base (the part that is in the bowl).
Start applying the small cupcake papers, placing them one by one in the center of the white cupcake liner. When three-quarters of the way is done, turn the lantern over and finish the remaining quarter.
Gently shape the outer paper into the shape you want.
It’s a very interesting handmade craft. Even humble cake cups can be DIYed into such sentimental lamps. Come and light them up and take a look!
