Women always feel that there is one piece of clothing missing from the wardrobe, but the fact is that the wardrobe is full of clothes. Today I will tell you that old clothes can be transformed into fashionable clothes. This article I will teach you how to DIY a t-shirt into a navel-baring outfit! If you don’t have money to buy new clothes or want to find a way to “rejuvenate” old clothes, then you must not miss this article!
Method/Steps
- 1Lay your T-shirt flat. If you're going to do it in bed, put a piece of cardboard under the T-shirt to protect your sheets.
- 2Determine the length of the crop. When you've decided, place the ruler where you want to cut, and then make a mark with a marker. Be sure to use a water-based or alcohol-based marker.
- 3Use a tailors knife or tailoring cutter to cut your T-shirt. You can cut in a straight line, with a slight arc, or cut into thin strips to create a fringe shape. It is easier to cut out arcs or strips with scissors.
- 4If you are satisfied with the curvature of the hem of the dress, then add some decorations according to your favorite style, such as glitter, sequins, rhinestones, etc.
- 5You can also do this on a skirt. Just follow the steps above.
Tips
- Too many sequins or rhinestones will make you look tacky, so don’t overdo it.
- Be sure to mark with water-based markers or alcohol-based markers. This way, if you accidentally draw it on other parts of your clothes, you can wash it off with water. If you use an oil-based marker, the marks will be difficult to wash off.
- Allow some length when cutting so that if you mess up you have a chance to make up for it.
- If you want to create a curve, its easier to use scissors than a knife.
- If you accidentally cut it too short, you can remedy this by adding a few strips of fabric underneath it.
Notes
- Be careful with scissors and knives, they are sharp.
