I am a student in primary school. The teacher assigned me a homework of making handmade things from waste, so that the unused things at home can be turned into treasure. My father and I first searched online for handmade crafts that turned money into treasure, and finally chose to make a sailboat out of cans based on the tutorial "Handmade Environmentally Friendly Sailboats from Cans".
The materials we use to make our sailboat by hand: three walnut cans, 2 pairs of round bamboo chopsticks, rope, our own sail, and double-sided tape
Let’s take a look at the steps to make a small sailboat out of cans:
Step one: stick double-sided tape on the sides of the three cans and fix them together; ↓
Step 2: Fix both sides of the can with the prepared chopsticks and rope; ↓
Step 3: Use a tool to drill a small hole in the can in the middle (be careful not to hurt your hands), and insert chopsticks; ↓
Step 4: Make a sail (note that there are small holes on the top and bottom for inserting the sail pole); ↓
Step 5: Fix the sail pole with a rope and put on the colorful sail. A DIY handmade sailboat from a waste can is complete! ↓
