Ice cream sticks have many uses. Today I am sharing an illustrated tutorial on DIY music box with ice cream sticks. Following the one I shared last time [
DIY practical illustrated tutorial for pasting ice cream sticks into small baskets for storage], not only It can be transformed into a storage box, and it can also be transformed into a music box. Let’s take a look at the tutorial below
a>
The first step is materials. The materials used by the poster include ice cream sticks, bamboo skewers, glue, music box movement, tweezers, utility knife, saw blade, black ink pen, Cross screwdriver, paper, pencil, eraser, that should be it!
a>
The second step is to glue the ice cream stick into the shape as shown in the picture, and then draw the outline of the piano
a>
Then make the cover of the piano. The cover can be a little different from the base, but the difference should not be too big, otherwise it will affect the overall beauty.
This is what the original poster drew before he made it. Please ignore the original poster’s scumbag painter. Because this design drawing has never been used, I directly found a physical piano drawing and watched it. Yeah, I can’t even bear to look at my design.

Okay, let’s continue. Next, fix the movement in the previously determined position, and then start preparing for the next step, making the box.
a>
This is the box. I didn’t take the picture too carefully, but you should all understand that the upright ice cream stick is the groove dug before and inserted into it. It needs to be symmetrical here, that is Make another groove on the opposite side of this and insert an ice cream stick
This is what it will look like after it is done.

This is a side view.

Then make the bracket, it doesn’t matter, you can do it last, because I don’t have a design drawing, so I just do it wherever I think of it.
The cross is a groove dug in the middle of the two ice cream sticks and then inserted into each other. The cylindrical ones around it are bamboo sticks for fixing, because only the ice cream sticks are used Crossover instability.

After the four piano stands are completed, it will be the piano cover. Originally, I wanted to make the semicircular fence first, but I thought about it for a whole afternoon and used N options, but none of them were feasible in the end, so I decided to do it first. When I made the lid, I fixed the lid. I couldn't cover it, so I had to prop it up like that, because to make the lid move, I needed to get the hinge (its called a hinge here, I don't know what you call it).
a>
The next step is the fence. After thinking about it for a whole day, I finally came up with a good plan. Forgive the poster’s stupidity. I first found a piece of foam board and cut out the shape of a piano, then put it in, and then started to put together the ice cream sticks. The foam board plays a big role when gluing the fence. It is used to fix the shape of the fence. The side of the fence needs to be placed with the adhesive tape on the inside. You will know it when you start doing it.
The next step is to make the keys. First lay a layer of long keys, then use a utility knife to cut out small keys, and use an ink pen to Color it and glue it according to the gaps of the long keys

This is what it will look like after everything is completed

Then the last step is to make a shelf to hold the music scores. You can take a look at the picture. All the steps are finished here.
