From garbage to toy boats - a tutorial on how to make toys from household recyclable materials, such as waste paper boxes, paper rolls, plastic bottles, etc. Tomorrow is the weekend. Children, if you don’t have any plans, you can give it a try!~
Materials and tools: 2 plastic water bottles, corrugated cardboard, disposable chopsticks, 2 toilet paper rolls, tape, scissors and black marker.
The bottle you choose should have a lid and no holes.
Start by gluing the plastic bottles together so that the lids face the same direction. Wrap the tape all the way around the bottle so that the tape overlaps.
Base: Cut out a rectangular piece of cardboard 5 inches wide by 9 inches long. Draw a line along the center of the base for future reference.
Side: Cut out two rectangular pieces of cardboard, 6.5 inches long and 1 inch wide.
Back: Cut out a cardboard rectangle 5 inches long and 1 inch wide.
Boat bow: Cut out two pieces of cardboard, with sides measuring 3.5 inches, 1 inch, and 2 inches.
Cut corrugated cardboard.
Cut both rolling paper tubes in half.
Fold it in half slightly.
Find the center of the roll and make a hole at the top and bottom. Repeat with other half.
Attach the two side pieces to the corresponding sides of the base.
Once both sides of the cardboard are taped, push them up at a 90-degree angle.
Put the 2 bow pieces together.
Once positioned correctly, glue them to the base.
Now, tape all the side pieces together by pressing the corners together with tape.
Tape tape where the two parts come into contact.
As shown in the picture after completion.
Stretch a strip of tape under the tape on the plastic bottle, sticky side down.
Then wrap a circle between the two lengthwise tapes. At this time, there will be a sticky side facing upwards.
Cut four more smaller pieces of tape and attach them sticky side up to the bottle as shown.
Gently place the bottom of the boat onto the tape on the bottle so that the tip of the boats bow is between the bottle caps.
Put the chopsticks through the 2 holes on the paper roll.
As shown in the picture after completion.
Cut off the excess chopsticks from the mast and set it aside for later use.
Poke holes in the cardboard and insert the mast. Make sure they are on the center line.
Secure with tape.
Apply tape to the bottom of the cut chopstick.
Covered front and back.
Place the chopsticks on the center point of the bow and secure it.
The basic shape of the boat is ready.
Next, you can use your imagination to decorate it~
