Here I show the kids how to make a toy train out of scraps. This is a simple and easy-to-complete handmade tutorial, I believe everyone will like it! The final product can be placed on the TV cabinet or cabinet as a decoration!~
Required materials:
?3 toilet paper rolls,
?12 milk bottle caps,
?2 cable ties,
?24 round metal spacers,
?6 plastic cotton swabs,
?Plastic pourer (found in olive oil bottle),
?Wire,
?Colored paper.
Tools required:
?Nail file,
?PVA craft glue,
?Scissors,
?Awl,
?Pen,
?Ruler.
For the wheels, take a toilet paper roll tube and place it 10mm apart on either side of the center line, from the top of the tube andBottom 15mm
All three rolling paper tubes are marked.
Use an awl to make holes at the marked points.
All 3 paper rolls are punched.
For the chimney insertion opening, mark a point 25mm from one end on a rolling paper tube and draw a circle about 20mm in diameter.
Cut out circles and don’t worry if the cut is rough.
Pick colored paper and cut it into a size large enough to cover the rolling tube.
Use an awl to restore the previously made holes on the colored paper.
Choose a roll with a hole for the chimney.
Cut 2 strips measuring 10 x 150 mm.
Adhere the strips around the rolling tube as shown.
It doesn’t matter if you don’t have the required metal spacers. You can use cardboard instead, as long as they can strengthen the wheels.
Choose a milk bottle cap, poke a hole in the center with an awl, and use a nail file to cut away any excess plastic that may come out of the hole.
Repeat this with the other 11 milk bottle caps.
Put the plastic tube cut from the cotton swab through the hole on the paper roll and put on the two gaskets.
Install the wheels and put on two spacers.
If you use cardboard instead of metal gaskets, they need to be glued and reinforced.
One carriage is completed.
Take out two pieces of wire.
Thread it through the plastic tube, leaving both ends exposed.

Fold it and reinforce it again.
Make 3 carriages.
Choose a rolling paper tube with a chimney hole, attach a round piece cut from the cardboard, and seal the opening.
Making and fixing the chimney: Make a tube from 10x10 mm poster paper to fit the plastic pourer.
Make a few cuts (about 20mm deep around the circumference of one end of the chimney) to secure the chimney into the plastic pourer.
Cut a 50 x 220 mm rectangular piece of cardboard and use a pen to mark a 20 mm point on the inside of one end.
Use glue and fold it into a cube and glue it to the other end of the chimney.
After completion, as shown in the picture, the locomotive is ready.
Viewed from the front.
Connect the carriages together.
As shown in the picture after completion.
The cute children’s toy train is ready, let’s start rumbling~
