Use ice cream sticks to make propellers, and then nail them to wooden sticks to make bamboo dragonflies or windmill toys. If you are very smart, you can also try to make a wind power generation device to power small toys! This tutorial mainly talks about how to make ice cream sticks into realistic propellers. The steps are super simple, just learn it!~
Material tools:
Ice cream stick size (113 x 9 x 1.5 mm).
Bamboo Dragonfly:
Small nails (2-3 cm),
Wood glue,
150 x 5mm wooden stick.
Windmill
Small nails (2-3 cm),
Small beads (3-5 mm),
150 x 10mm stick.
Mark the center of the popsicle stick. A clamp is used here. In fact, there is no need to be so complicated. A ruler can do it.
Boil the popsicle stick for 30 minutes to soften it, you can also soak it in water overnight, making sure it is completely submerged. Be careful with hot water!
Make a prop out of wood, plastic, or other materials, and leave the popsicle stick in its twisted state overnight to create a propeller.
Drive a small nail into the center of the propeller. Apply wood glue or white glue to the top of the stick. Carefully align the nail with the center of the top of the stick and nail the propeller straight in place to complete your bamboo dragonfly.
When the glue dries, rotate the stick between your palms to make it fly.
Put the nails through the center of the propeller and the beads, and nail them to the sides of the wooden sticks so that the propeller can rotate freely, and you have a small windmill.
Just wave the windmill quickly and the propeller will spin.
