The pull-back car is a toy that children can play with a thousand times and never get tired of it. As long as you gently pull it back and let go, the car will accelerate and rush out in an instant. Use toilet paper rolls as waste and make a simple rubber band pull-back car by hand. It’s simple and fun~
Material preparation: toilet paper roll, 4 cardboard circles with a radius of 3cm, rubber bands, disposable chopsticks, colored paper and 5cm wire.
Step 1: First paste the colored paper on the toilet paper roll and four round cardboards, and drill holes in the centers of the round cardboards.
Step 2: Cut out 2 bamboo chopsticks about 7cm long to serve as axles. Wrap a wire around the center of one of the axles to fix it. Use tweezers to make a hook.
Step 3: Install two axles on the toilet paper roll and fix four round cardboards on the axles with hot melt glue.
Step 4: Drill the upper and lower holes on the toilet paper roll at the rear end of the front wheel, insert the flagpole used to fix the rubber band, and fix it with hot glue after inserting it.
Step 5: Drill a hole near the bottom of the rear wheel, then put the rubber band around the lower flagpole and insert it into the hole of the rear wheel.
Step 6: Put the rubber band inserted into the hole on the hook of the rear wheel axle.
In order to increase the friction of the car wheels, hot melt glue can be applied to the wheels. The simple paper roll pull-back car is completed. Just pull it back slightly and let go, and the car will move forward.
Since the elastic force of the rubber band drives the rear wheels to rotate and move the car forward, the more turns the rubber band is wrapped around, the faster the wheels will rotate, and of course the farther the car will go!
