When you go to the beach, the easiest souvenir to bring back are shells. Various colors and shapes seem to be exquisite handicrafts carved by the sea!
Share a very simple handicraft idea, making candles from sea shells. It not only brings light, but also creates a romantic and warm atmosphere! All we need to do is to melt the candle into the shell and add the wick!~
You need to prepare:
Shells
Old candle
Hair dryer
Utility Knife
1. Collect some shells from the beach. The oyster shells used here will make the candles larger.
2. Take out some used tea candles and reuse them. Or you could use new tea candles.
3. Remove the wicks from the tea candle and set them aside. You will add them to the new candle later.
4. Cut the remaining candles into small pieces, do not cut them too finely, and put them in a bowl first.
5. Then pour the chopped candle into the shell, do not fill it too full, if it is not enough, you can add it later.
6. Use a hair dryer to heat the candle until it begins to liquefy.
7. It will only take about a minute for the candle to completely melt.
8. Place the wick in the middle of the candle, keeping it vertical and at the same time, the wick should be exposed to the liquid surface.
9. Set aside to cool and allow the candle to re-solidify.
10. The beautiful shell candles are finished and can be replenished with old wax at any time during use~
