Friends who like to plant potted flowers must care about flower pots. Beautiful flower pots are a beautiful enjoyment in themselves. In recent years, there are more and more varieties of flower pots, including classical ones, modern ones, various textures, shapes and colors, everything is available.
Glazed pots, although beautiful, are not breathable and are not ideal planting containers. I saw a post some time ago about a woman who used old towels and leftover cement to make her own flowerpots. So I tried it with great interest and used this method to make my own flower pots. The method is very simple: use a discarded towel (or cloth), throw in the mixed cement paste, and then put the towel with cement on the mold. After the cement dries, the characteristic flower pot is ready. , this kind of flower pot has better water permeability.
Let’s take a look at the production example:
Old towels.
Use this ceramic round stool to make a mold and raise it.
Wrap it in plastic wrap to avoid "painted faces".
Put a towel over the "mold" and design the shape of your future flower pot.
I guess using fabric would work too, this is a useless t-shirt (use two layers).
One canister is used as a mold.
Put the fabric on the "mold" and design the shape of the future flower pot.
The remaining cement from the past.
Sift out some lumps.
The cement is mixed into a thin mud.
Put the towel into the cement paste, mix it thoroughly, and then drape it on the "mold".
Put the fabric into the cement paste, mix it thoroughly, and then drape it on the "mold".
Cut scraps can also be used.
Finish the shape before the cement is dry.
The original shape is very beautiful, but it is too high and unstable, so I cut off part of it and it is not as beautiful as before.
This is made of T-shirt fabric.

Experience:
1. Waste utilization, reuse discarded towels and cement to make special flower pots, killing two birds with one stone.
2. The towels and cloths you choose should be as thick as possible, preferably with long hair, so that the cement can stick to them.
3. The cement you choose should not expire after too long. The cement I used this time is more than 3 years old, but it was wrapped in a plastic bag. Although it was agglomerated, it did not fail.
4. Before it is completely dry, organize the shape and do not move it after it is semi-dry. It is very easy to crack.
5. If it feels too thin at one time, you can wait for it to dry and apply cement to the flowerpot multiple times.
6. The flowerpots made by this method are relatively thin, so be careful when using them. In addition, the size cannot be too large or too high. It turned out that the maximum height of the big basin was 60 centimeters, which made it difficult to stand firmly. Later, 20 centimeters were cut off, which affected its beauty.
7. Plan and design the shape and size and arrange the mold before production. The "mold" and the floor must be protected to avoid cement everywhere. Wear rubber gloves when making. The cement is alkaline and may slightly corrode the skin.
8. The flowerpots made by this method are very unique, rough and original, with different shapes. You can also apply paint/coating on the outside, whichever you like.
9. This is an economical method, and homemade flower pots will bringLots of fun. A 20 kilogram pack of new cement only costs more than 5 yuan and can be used to make several flower pots. Even buying new cement is also a good choice.
