The Christmas/New Year holidays are approaching recently, and many friends are visiting our home. When they walked into the back garden, the most surprising thing was the "home appliances" I put in the garden: there were "TVs", "electric ovens", "computers", "electric kettles", and Some "childrens toys". In fact, these are small bonsai made from discarded household appliances and old objects, and they just use the space to grow plants. It not only beautifies the environment, but also makes full use of waste and contributes to environmental protection. There is a story behind every piece of waste, and the production process can use your imagination, brain and hands. The plants in these things are very easy to take care of. Some containers are like a small greenhouse, which is conducive to the growth of plants, lush and full of vitality.
When I was taking a walk not long ago, I saw an old toaster, and I thought that it would also be a good planting container. Of course, it cannot just be planted on top of the toaster. My design idea is to cut an "inverted trapezoid" opening on the front of the toaster to form a slope inside. Place a few random stones on both sides of the inclined opening, use waste ceramic tiles to make a few steps in the middle, plant some plants that are easier to grow in the gaps between the stones and the top space, and lay some moss in the gaps between the stones to form a " A miniature "Quiet Valley" bonsai. This way I have another "home appliance" in my garden - a toaster.
The following is the production process:
Abandoned toaster
Remove the plastic cover
Only use the base and case
I have been good at destroying things since I was a kid: taking out the electrical appliances and shelves inside
An inverted trapezoid is opened on the front to expand the field of vision
This isPlastic material, easy to cut with an electric strip saw (hand saw also works)
Toaster cut in place
Clean up the edges of the cut a little
Use plastic glue to roughly fix the filling material and rubble, and wait for half a day for the plastic glue to dry
Lay out planting soil, plant plants and spread out moss
Upper left corner: Ophiopogon japonicus Liriope, upper right corner: Bamboo plum, and succulent plants
Can be placed on a shelf
This location can be sprayed with some water mist every day to facilitate the growth of moss
This corner is the busiest:: "Television", "Computer", plus "Toaster"
"Electric Oven”The asparagus and aloe vera in the meat are very good
The day after I wrote this blog post, a beautiful flower bloomed from the cactus (indicating that the growing environment is very good)
The uses of these two sculptures will be introduced later
The strings of pearls in the "Electric Kettle" are growing very well
These are all made from waste, from right: "Shaved ice machine", "Green apple", "Broken can", "Fruit plate", etc.
"Drink Mixer"
"Fruit Bowl" and "Spice Jar"
"Gardening Bubbles" made from construction waste
Gardening"Flower" has planted many rounds of flowers, and this time tomatoes grew automatically
"Bakery" in the garden
