Ostrich eggs carve out delicate and three-dimensional African wild animals

I still remember the first time I saw the thin and fragile eggshells being made into egg carvings. The editor opened his eyes wide and praised him repeatedly. He didn’t expect that eggshells that break easily can be carved into such delicate pieces. Works! Later I learned that this artistic creation has a history of hundreds of years, and there are quite classic and outstanding works in the East and the West. In the past, the website also introduced "Super Powerful Chinese Egg Sculpture God", "Dream Like" Fantasy eggshell sculpture." What I want to introduce to you today is the same egg sculpture, but it is slightly different from the previous works because the size seems to be much larger~

The artist, who directly named himself Eggdoodler on the Internet, uses ostrich eggs several times larger than chicken eggs as his canvas. He still retains the hollow characteristics of traditional egg carvings, but has a different layering. The artist named this work Africa. He simultaneously carved elephants, giraffes, and rhinos, three representative African wild animals, on a huge ostrich egg, and added huge trees as the background.

Although the outline of the sculpture is not as complex and fancy as in the past, the artist made full use of the thickness of the ostrich egg to make the layering of the work the focus. Even the animals subtle expressions and lines on its body can be clearly displayed. When egg sculpture meets relief sculpture, the originally flat work becomes three-dimensional, and when illuminated by light, it can also produce slight shadows, thereby improving a lot of texture. Eggdoodler spent nearly 1,000 hours on the work to complete it. He slowly used equipment to carve and grind it. The difficulties may not be the same as those of traditional egg carving, but it is definitely not a difficult creation that ordinary people can challenge~
