What you need:

-Antique silver spoon

-1/8” letter engraving set

-Rubber hammer or small iron hammer

-Long lasting black marker

Put your spoon upside down between two boards and hit it firmly with a hammer to flatten the spoon. Remove the top piece of wood and continue banging the spoon until you're happy with its shape. If you don't have a rubber mallet, you can also use a small iron hammer, but a small hammer will easily leave a mark on the surface of the spoon, so try tapping when using a small hammer to see if you are satisfied with the final result.
