A 66-year-old Japanese grandfather spent August hand-building a Gundam model

Kenichi Okada, a 66-year-old grandfather from Furukawa City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, handmade a 2-meter-high MS model of "Z Gundam" to make his grandson happy. It took about 8 months! The model is mainly made of wood, about 2 meters high and weighs 40 kilograms, and uses water-based paint to show the texture of the plastic model.

Although he initially started making the model to make his grandson happy, Mr. Okada said that his grandson did not seem to be surprised at the completion of the model (a bit sad...). The model is currently on display in the lobby of a JA Bank branch in Hyogo Prefecture. "I would be satisfied if I could make more people happy!" he said.

Speaking of which, maybe my grandson doesn’t even know what “Z Gundam” is! Grandpa, you should choose a relatively new Gundam work to make, then maybe he will like it?!
