The interesting life of Australian handicraft enthusiast Mary Saba. Her hobby is to make all kinds of fancy clothes by herself. She wears different clothes every day for a whole year, and the total cost is only 440 US dollars!
Before Mary even started her project, her friends had already dubbed her the "Queen of Costumes" because of the time and passion she put into each of her bizarre and even outrageous pieces of clothing. She has always enjoyed making weird and fun costumes and having others tell how cool she looks.
Mary wrote on her blog: "Most people have the right hobbies, reading, writing, dancing, playing sports, etc., but I get a lot of joy from creating bizarre costumes." Produced 365 different ones The idea of ??changing clothes every day started at Christmas 2011, when she decided to prepare a series of red or green clothes to change every day a week before the Christmas holiday to highlight the festive joy and welcome the holiday. One day, she overheard a few coworkers discussing which of her outfits they liked best, and thats when she realized how much joy her style brought to those around her. She thought of the girl in "The Uniform Project" who wore one piece of clothing for 365 days, wearing it in different ways and adding decorations every day. Then she had her own plan.
Mary decided to start her new project on her 26th birthday, that is, on June 28, 2012, she put on her first Little Red Riding Hood costume. Since then, she wore different costumes and took photos every day until July 23, 2013, when she completed the entire plan and held a masquerade party to celebrate. When she takes the bus to work, she dresses up as The Little Mermaid, Kylie Minogue, Xena, King Kong or Marilyn Monroe, attracting interesting or weird looks from others along the way. Mary said she enjoyed every minute of it.
Seeing her dressing up as a different character every day and even throughout the year, many people asked Mary about her financial situation. Everyone was shocked when they learned that the 365 outfits cost her a total of $440. Thats because she makes all her clothes herself, using a mix of clothes from her wardrobe, cardboard, plastic and items she picks up from local charity shops every weekend.
