Illustrated tutorial on DIY production method of white swan in triangle

Making a triangular swan is something I have always wanted to do, but I have never found a reason to start making it myself. Now I finally had the motivation and worked tirelessly for three days to complete the project. I also followed the tutorials on the Internet, but tutorials are tutorials. When doing it yourself, there are many changes that need to be made flexibly. Its beautiful to fold with special paper, but using waste paper and turning decay into magic is my purpose. Let’s make it now and see how we can turn waste paper into swans!

Thisorigami The specific steps are as follows:

Step 1: Prepare the triangle insertion

First, prepare the triangle insertion. Don't ask me how many triangular inserts I need to prepare in total? I don't know. I fold and insert them at the same time, so don't count. In some tutorials, you are told at the beginning how many triangle plugs you need to prepare. Whenever I see this number, I have no desire to do it. Therefore, it doesn't matter how many triangles are inserted. Don't keep your hands idle while watching TV. The more you fold, the better, so you can always use them up.

Triangular folding method:

1. Prepare notes. Use A4 paper, cut it into three equal parts along the long side, and then divide each section into 8 equal parts along the long side. In this way, not even a scrap of paper will be left after disassembly. A piece of A4 paper can make 24 triangular inserts.

2. Fold the left and right parts of the rectangular paper strip in half, and then restore it, leaving a crease.

3. Then fold the upper left and right corners at 45° toward the midline.

4. Fold the left and right lower corners upward at 45°.

5. Then fold the two trapezoids in the lower half upward.

6. Just fold the left and right parts in half. .In this way, a triangle insertion is completed!

Step 2: Swan Bottom

Start from the bottom and insert 30 triangles in a circle. Applying glue while inserting will make it stick more firmly and prevent it from falling apart. Insert it up round and round, and stop when you reach the 15th round. At this time, you need to make the key part of the swan.

Step 3: Head and tail

1. First distinguish the three parts of the neck, tail and wings to make.

2. Determine the position of the neck and insert 6 triangle plugs first.

3. Continue to interpolate upward.

4. Next, make the tail, which is similar to the neck, except that at the beginning, the number of triangles used is 4, and the position and neck are made The location corresponds.

5. Now make the wings on both sides, which is similar to the neck and tail, except that the number of triangles used is 10.

Step 4: Wings

Add wings. The edges of the wings need to be processed by triangle inserts, and the excess triangle inserts on the edges are covered with triangle inserts. In order to allow the wings to continuously expand upward and parallel, triangle inserts need to be continuously used to cover the edge triangles of each layer. Follow the above operation method and start adding triangle inserts upwards. Each layer still uses 10 triangle inserts. Pay attention to the way the edges are processed. The wings on both sides continue to rise 10 layers in the same way. Then, start reducing each layer by one triangleInsert and make ten more layers. The wing part is finished.

Step 5: Long Neck

Start from the previously separated neck part and continue to insert the triangle upwards. Note that the directions of the triangle are different, and the triangles used in each layer are Quantity, combinations of 3 triangle inserts and 4 triangle inserts rise. Also pay attention to controlling the arc and length, so that when you reach a suitable height, the production is complete!

Step 6: Middle Wings

The middle-layer wings are made in the same way as the main wings, but the base starts from 18 triangles and stops after rising for 5 circles. Separate the two sides and make the wings in the same way as before until the final triangle ends at the top.

The small wings in the center can be inserted into the shape shown in the picture according to the size of the model.
